Octagon - Chapter 3I thanked the same higher power that brought us together for my quick reflexes at that point. So, because of those marvelous reflexes, I caught her shoulder in my hand. Softly, though, because her skin looked like it could tear like paper if I didn’t handle it gently. I put the smallest bit of pressure on her flesh to get her to turn towards me. Just then something almost unexplainable happened. She had a bemused look upon her face, but what I noticed was her eyes. The sun caught on the blue of her iris’ and made it shimmer with a billion shades of the most brilliant blues. I didn’t know then, and I don’t know now how to exactly explain it, rOctagon - Chapter 3
